The following information forms our terms & conditions of purchasing through Choccy Boxes.
Please remember when ordering, that chocolate products are perishable and will melt in heat. Please see the refunds section below for more information.
Payments must be made through the website using our card processing partner, PayPal.
You are able to use the following cards to pay through PayPal:
Visa, Debit Card, MasterCard, Maestro Card, Visa, American Express, Electron, Euro Card or Delta.
Please note that you do not need a PayPal account to pay by this method – although you will be given the option to set one up during the payment process.
For your security we do not take telephone orders. PayPal uses secure servers and Choccy Boxes have no access to any credit or debit card data.
Please note that PayPal defaults to the address of the cardholder as their ‘Send to’ address. We will deliver to the ‘Delivery Address’ given during the checkout process on our website.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are purchasing for multiple recipients with different delivery addresses please place individual orders.
With our local delivery service, order before 6pm, Sunday to Friday and Choccy Boxes will hand deliver your gift the following day or on a day of your choosing. We deliver Monday to Saturday to the following postcode areas:

Local orders are normally delivered: Monday to Friday between 6pm – 8pm & Saturday 2pm – 4pm
To ensure Choccy Boxes minimise our environmental impact, local deliveries are delivered without cardboard packaging, as a florist would. Whilst Choccy Boxes aim to deliver on the requested day / date there may be occasions when this is not possible. In these circumstances we will contact you as soon as possible to get instruction on how to proceed.
Please note that Local Delivery only includes one attempt at delivery. If we are unable to deliver due to there being no one to accept the order we will contact you to get instruction on how to proceed. An attempt at a second delivery will be possible but will incur an additional £3 charge.
UK Delivery is available throughout mainland UK. Tracked delivery through Collect+ costs £4.95 per shipment or £5.95 if a signature is required. Due to personalisation, only one order per shipment is permitted.
We aim to dispatch within 24 hours of your order being accepted and the anticipated delivery time after dispatch is 2 to 3 working days* A tracking number will be issued once your order has been dispatched.
*May be longer due to Covid-19 pandemic
All products are individually assembled. UK deliveries are dispatched in plain cardboard boxes and we try to ensure your gift arrives in perfect condition by using appropriate sized boxes and padding materials where necessary. We aim to dispatch all orders within 24 hours however there may be times when we are unable to meet this level. Please allow at least 48 hours from the time of placing your order before contacting us.
Whilst Choccy Boxes aim to keep the website up to date, there may be occasions when we do not have a certain product (or part of) in stock. In these instances we will contact you as soon as possible to notify you of the situation. You be given the option of selecting a new product, substituting a product if part of an order is out of stock or, cancelling your order altogether and receiving a full refund.
As stated above chocolate products are perishable and will melt when exposed to heat. For local deliveries, we have systems in place to try and keep your gift cool until delivery. Couriers not offer any kind of cost effective service which allows for this and although we can refund for goods that are damaged upon arrival, we cannot refund for products that have melted whilst in transit.
For goods damaged in transit, you’ll need to return your order to us before we can issue a refund. Your order, and all of the individual products contained within it, must be returned in the same condition in which it was received. That is, sealed within it’s cellophane gift wrapping and in it’s original packaging.
The cost of returning the order is the buyers responsibility and, due to the personalised nature of our products, any refund is subject to £5 administration charge per gift. We recommend you use a ‘Signed For’ service when returning the package to us.
You must contact us before initiating a return. This must be within 5 days of receiving the order. Refunds will be issued after we have received the item and have found it to be in the same condition it was dispatched in.
Postage refunds will be based upon information received from Collect+. Choccy Boxes cannnot be held liable for any refunds of postage in circumstances that are beyond our control. This can include, but is not limited to, compliance with laws or regulations, acts of God (such as floods, storms, snow, etc.), acts or omissions of the Purchaser, acts or civil or military authority, judicial action, defaults of sub-contractors or suppliers, labour disputes, failure or delays in transportation, embargoes, wars or riots.
